On behalf of all the pupils, staff and governors, I would like to welcome you to St Thomas Leesfield Church of England Primary School.

We are well into the 2025-26 academic year and continue to enjoy a wonderful year of fun-filled, motivational learning across the school. It has been a pleasure to see our children returning with such enthusiasm for their learning, and our Reception class have settled brilliantly into life at Leesfield as they begin their educational journey with us.

We remain extremely proud of the progress made by all our pupils. Our commitment to ensuring every child achieves their non-negotiable, age-related targets remains at the heart of everything we do, and we continue to celebrate both academic success and personal growth throughout the school.

I have the absolute privilege of leading this terrific school as Headteacher and from this term, I am delighted to welcome Miss Lawton, as our new Assistant Headteacher. Having worked at St Thomas for many years, she knows our school, our values and our families incredibly well, and her experience and dedication make her a fantastic addition to the Senior Leadership Team. Alongside her and our School Business Manager, Mrs Whitworth, we will continue to lead our shared vision for the school with the support of our conscientious Governing Body, who both challenge and encourage us in equal measure.

An integral part of our school ethos is our strong relationship with families. We work closely together to ensure concerns are listened to and addressed swiftly. We continue to operate an open-door policy, and parents are encouraged to get in touch at a mutually convenient time should any worries arise.

This website contains lots of useful information, and we hope it gives you a real feel for our fabulous school. And as always remember to be 'in the line for 10 to 9'!

Our school continues to work collaboratively with eight other Lees and Saddleworth schools as part of the Dovestone Learning Partnership. Together we champion a culture of shared learning and support, staying true to the motto: 'Be Stronger Together For All Pupils'.
