Year 1: Phonics Lesson - October 2023

We have been practicing some of our phonics sounds.

Year 6 Author Visit: Michael Thame - November 2023

Year 6 were very lucky to have an author visit who talked all about his books based on his own family's experience of WW2. He brought in lots of different props for the children to look at too including a real gas mask! The children thoroughly enjoyed listening to extracts from the book and asking questions to an author about his job.  

Year 3: World Book Day - March 2024

Year 3 enjoyed dressing up as crayons for World Book Day! Some of the costumes were very creative and colourful.

Year 2: The Christmas Story - December 2024

In RE, we have been learning about the Christmas story, ordering the events and talking about how it would have felt for Mary, Joseph, the shepherds and wise men.

Year 5: Oliver Twist - November 2025

This week Year 5 started their new English learning all about Oliver Twist. We learnt all about the history of the workhouse and some of us even got to dress up like workhouse children! We even got to hot seat and interview Oliver and Mr Bumble!

Year 5: 'The Golden Horseman of Baghdad' drama - February 2026

In English, Year 5 did some drama to explore character's thoughts and feelings in the story of 'The Golden Horseman of Baghdad' as part of our Early Islamic Civilisation learning.

Reception: World Book Day - March 2026

We have fun celebrating World Book Day and our love of reading!

Year 2: Word Endings - May 2026

Year 2 have been investigating suffixes, playing pairs to make words with - ment, less and ness endings. We had a lovely time taking turns playing our game and we learnt some new words we can use in sentences too!
